Hey Banga its all application specific, gtx extends the choke point at upper pressure ratios, unless your operating at pressure ratios which warrant the gtx wheel (>20psi) it will make little difference. Better off going to next size up…

    You reckon you’ll fit a 275? A 275/60 is pretty tall…

What sort of potential et is that? Btw a guy I know is building a VP with L98, and he put it over a weighbridge and came in at just over 1400kg, no idea what a VR like mine would be though…

If you can move it off the line like a 10.4-10.5… I had a really poor 60′ around 1.9 sec so only ran best of 11.1… that was first time racing the car. Yours would have to be close to 1600kg I think mine would be the same but haven’t weighed it yet either…

You should just run it more so you can actually feel how fast your car is when it hooks up.. you’ll be surprised. :) plus it gives you a baseline then to work from, first time out won’t be perfect no matter how hard you try…

Just get some drag radials or your just wasting your time on street tyres.. 340rwkw through a th400 got me 131mph in my ss…

Gotta say pretty impressed with his work, but also feel like the cars finally about where I was hoping it would be. Just need to do the final tweaks on the tune and I reckon its good to go for some great summer racing now that AIR is back open and drags are back on in SA!!!

    edited your comment….  :good:

Ill upload some pics when I get a chance of how to do it. Im sure I emailed cav a bunch of pics on how to do it but cant find the email… he might still have it

Best to get the box mounted sit the shifter in loose put the console over the top and line it up and mark it to where you want it, it will pretty much go hard up against the right hand side and I just lined it up so the centreline of the handle is at the D position.

Also I angled the front of the box same angle as the cable mount on the shifter, you’ll only have to drill a hole just big enough for the cable to slide through once you know where the shifter sits.

Hope you have good drill bits!! remember slow speed heavy feed!  :good:

Yes walbro will be fine, might want to run new bigger wiring to it.. Forget listed operating pressures, compare at your specific op pressures.

FYI 044s are not noisy… It’s just how people mount them.

FYI I found a Tamiya model acrylic paint that matches really well with the dash just can’t remember the colour code lol
