the original colour on the underside of the hood it was never prepped properly so it was easier to take the black off with a heat gun and a paint scraper it was just gumming up sand paper way to fast the bonnet scoop was sagging so bought a new plastic one and the previous owner thought it a good idea to drill the bobtail spoiler in multiple places and rivet it to the boot and it looked crap so bought a new plastic bobtail for it and will be fitted properly the engine bay is getting smoothed and the old Kframe needed lots of work so has been stripped and powder coated have stolen my nephews Kframe while mine gets all put back together with new bushes and springs and shocks

yeah ill be looking to pump at least 1.5 times the fuel i need in its final stage so in early stages will probably be more like double what i need

if you loose a single pump on a single pump from the surge setup the engine shuts off if you have 2 pumps that when one lays over the engine keeps going but is lean up top then you wont know till its to late.

Running 2 pumps that are big enough to run the engine on there own and a controller to control them would be nice but hell the pump supplying the surge tank could die as well and you would be in the same place. Im down for covering my ass and yes the fuel system isnt something im planing to cheap on but im not filling the boot with pumps just in case ill look at what pump ill be using and consider the twin setup but at this point its going to be a big single from the surge

the single pump I use will be over sized for what i need the whole fuel system will be in fact id prefer a engine shut down rather then a engine lean out with 2 pumps but in your setup LJ if the 1 pump can run it without lean out then thats a good thing mine will be a track car so it stopping on the track isnt the end of the world

you not worried about the second pump not coming on and running lean up top ? or can your setup run on the one pump ?

I dont want 2 pumps feeding the motor from the surge tank because the chance of one pump dropping out and then the engine will still run but lean out up top so if the pump goes id prefer the car to shut down instead of leaning out so yeah will have one pump feeding the surge and one feeding to the motor from the surge.

Cava I dont have a power target its a toy and what it makes is what it makes its been put together with stuff I have laying around have even considered a crazy twin m112 setup for a bit of something different and for fun but for now will just be the single m112.

Budget there isnt one and that isnt to say its unlimited but at this point i have only invested $950 (done alot of buying and selling with other peoples abandon projects and scored big on a stolen recovered R8) I have a VL calais needs a bit of work a turbo diff, LS1 engine, full conversion including extractors, 343mm harrop brakes, twin 3″ exhaust, quicksilver shifter, few gauges, fuel line, surge tank, catch can and a few other bits and pieces next big purchases and only real things missing is fuel pumps, Th400, tail shaft, full spool and diff gears

There will be 2 tunes needed and there will be a little time between them so im not worried running it in stages gives me a chance to have fun sooner

you would save some pipe and stuffing around if you made another top for your manifold putting the throttles on the other side it will make it neater and easier/less turns

1/2″ line 3/8 return E85 compatible still deciding on the tank not sure if ill run factory tank or a fuel cell in the boot but im leaning towards the cell will run a 3 litre surge tank fuel pumps i havent yet settled on mainly because i havent looked into them all that much just yet but would prefer 1 big pump as the main pump rather then 2 smaller ones side by side

Trust me I see nothing race about the bushes hence why I call them apparently race that been said you ask a cunt cop and 99% of mods that don’t include a air freshener in your car makes it now a race car and a loud exhaust makes you a hoon/racer to 99% of the population that watch A Current Affair and have no clue.

Im sure they like to call parts race parts thinking all the young ones will buy them like crazy I bought them because in my mind the stiffer the cradle is the better to help stop tramp not that one thing alone proves to be the magic cure
