Would it be as affective on other side of rad tho? As draws air through the radiator may not work as well as cant seal it off properly like you can from other side?

Looks good, doesnt boxing rails like that cause issues with engineering etc? What kind of power you chasing?

I guess that’s the thing about cars, to each their own. My bay is important to me, I mean love driving it, but every time I lift the bonnet to check the oil, water etc it puts a smile on my dial. The other thing is I love people seeing the car, thinking meh, its just a clean Senator, then I pop the bonnet and pretty much every time I get the “faaaark” – to me thats priceless But to each their own, I just think the LSA is bloody fugly. Cool engine though, and if looks not a factor the smart and obvious choice.

True but i think i dont go to car meets and when i do never pop bonnet lol. I drive my car weekly, gym, dinner, parties etc. I built it to drive not stair at and keeping bay clean is a pain in the ass. After two years my paint still perfect, i am careful where i park etc.

Nothing like the satisfaction of doing it yourself though.

I look at it this way, if i make say 500+ for a days work and i can pay someone todo something say 300 and it would take me a day i am better off paying. Especially if its an annoying fiddly unsatisfying job. Lol recently payed to have auto oil and diff oil done on this very theory

What about just simple vents in top of the bonnet where the air box sections are. Not a raised scoop.

In all honesty, that plenum could be very closely replicated by fabricating it again. Some laser cut ali plates and a bit of mill work for the holes and detail on the top would net the desired result i’m sure (i’m a trade qualified metal fabricator). I nearly took this path myself when a cheap lower half popped up years ago, I decided against it and ended up buying a complete vn grp a setup years later. I’d personally hate to see copies of this type of thing make it to production. Yes they are rare and expensive, but that’s what makes them so special to have.

So i take it you are sending me a quote?

He already has a fabricated one. It looks rubbish. Why does everyone think his going to make 100’s of plenums. He just wants a one off

Wouldnt go that far for a home made job way better than any ebay etc jobs i have seen for starters not a single welf is seen its all made seamless.

Yea me and the lads talked about it for a while, as its crazy how cheap shit can be done os.  But to do it right you would need to go there with the manifold to where they manufacture, not something you could do over skype etc

However i genuinely want one for my manifold just need to figure out how much it will cost and if worth it. If only a few k its worth it to me.

Cheers i have someone with a plenum in NZ hope i can get it scanned, email me file and then send to someone to make. Even thinking china, as would be far cheaper. Time will tell, it may not be feasible tho
