yeah I am mate. Current brakes are 343mm so I can’t run anything less the 17 inch. Which makes finding a front runner Hard and pricey.

I have 2 18inch front runners but I’m still yet to be be told if I can run them or not. Tires also aren’t cheap for them. Bout $800.

Lastly how am I meant to trial for you alumstars with big brakes.

Cava I reckon with the power that LSa is going to make just from a performance point of view you want nothing less than 343mm.  And if you are concerned with the price of tyres on a car like your you are doing it wrong…

Bdj-007 I am not sure if I have read if you are having this engineered?  What state are you in?

the 4 pot 320mm Wilwoods would be better then mine. If I can fit 15’s on then I’ll get em. I rather put good money towards better rims then tires.

True, that does make trial fitment a problem……. Spacer? haha

Can call me Brent mate  :good:

I’m in Victoria mate. I will get it engineered at some point. It just hasn’t been on my list of priorities yet. Although it probably should have.

No worries Brent, (that’s a lot easier than BDj_007 btw!!)   No worries, I wasn’t sure, supposedly in Vic they wont pass Wilwoods because there aren’t dust shields.  I asked my engineer and he couldn’t have cared less.  So tbh not sure if its an urban myth or not.   Cracker of a build though, love it.

I have the 320mm Wilwoods on mine. Got them with my front end from the Rodshop. 15″ front runners don’t fit. Which pisses me off because the Rodshop say 15″ wheels fit. When I rang them they said but front runners don’t.

They only hit the caliper by a couple mm.

I’ll either run a small spacer or maybe grind the little bit that touches. I can forcefully spin them by hand.

Also comp engines in Vic sell 17″ front runners for $800-900 last time I checked. Then tyres aren’t to badly priced from them either. Got my 275/60/15 et streets for $300ea.

Id possibly shave the caliper a touch before. I run spaces. I just don’t like them. Esp on an 8 second car.

It’s not the front runner rim that worry me I’ve got them. It’s forking out another 7-800 for puddly tires I’ll use rarely

Not sure if you could also try machining a couple of mm off the caliper mounting face on the hub, would move the caliper back in to the middle of the car away from the rim? Just a thought.

17 inch front runners look cool with big brakes lol

Shave caliper if just minor clearance.

I had load bearing spacers machined up for my old torana(hubs with 330mm discs & grange rims)…never completely trusted it…same now with pro-stars bolted only onto wheelstuds.

if you are after a right hand drive transbrake button for that shifter. You can get one to suit for $160 from bliss custom machining.

I reckon they should call it the “fun button” not a trans brake :good:
