Nothing wrong with wood… I mean, I wouldn’t use a 2×4

Build some of these. Mine are only 3 levels high as I originally built it just to get the jack under but it’s still high enough to drop the oil if need be. From memory only used 3 lengths of pine for a pair. A lot cheaper than those $140 plastic ramps!

Sounds like a vacuum or gasket leak but could be anything. Bit hard to diagnose over the net!

Does the tapping change with the engine rpm? There at all temps or just when cold?

Nah, it works on every other forum so must be something in the settings for this one.

Takes a bit to get your head around the new format but its not all bad. Most recent update is much better than the first time they did a major overhaul. Still difficult to browse thru subforums compared to the older versions.
