It’s been a while since posting last but a bit has happened. Engine is back and in the car. Everything is bolted on. Gearbox is in and shifter all mounted. Just need mint a few more bits to start doing fuel lines, brake lines and tranny lines back to the cooler

So my motor went in for a cam and valve springs, ended up coming out with new piston and rings, rods and heads done.

Couldn’t be happier with the the outcome. Build it once, build it properly.

Started the tubs by up grinding the sound Deadener and marking a line to cut.
Cut that with a 1mm disk grinder and up picked spot welds in the tubs
Tacked in a 30mm strip in on both tubs
Spot welded all the the way round and flapper disk flat.

Finished off with some seam sealer and painted black

I stripper the underneath off also with a grinder and wire wheel. Such a mind numbing job but absolutely stoked with how it come up.
Rear end all set for the final time, trans cooler mounts done and mounted. Just need to make shroud to protect it and wire it up.

For my coil over set up I welded a bar from chassis to chassis and welded tabs off that to mount the coil overs.
Didn’t want to drill holes in my boot floor.

Finally got paint on the car after a few years of prep and working where everything went. Now the process to put it all together without scratching it

What size is that bad boy?

The turbo is a Borg Warner S475 T6 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    That should move some air!!!

Internally what’s going to be done?

When the motor is done just a freshen up rings and bearings bottom end, hopefully if the tax man is good to me and get some Higgins heads, cam and valve springs. Just the norm and a Holley ram manifold
But just want to get some paint it and get it rolling again.

I’m jealous haha. Where are you running the dump pipe?

Going to run the dump pipe thru the back of the strut tower where the fuses normally go. Got to plate it both sides to make it stronger tho. The same as cooler piping

After some gentle massaging behind the headlight turbo fits and got about 20mm clearance around it
Very happy at this point in time. Now to mark out holes for fuel lines, piping for cooler and brake lines oil lines for catch can and loom
Hopefully painted by tax time 😁😁

So it’s been a while since I’ve updated this.

I’ve re done the rear end with coil overs and made sure everything fits 100% before it off to get power coated. On that note, the kframe is getting redone and front struts also.

Engine bay is all smoothed over and primed. It’s in high low atm. Engine is in which I’m stoked about, I’ve had these parts for about 2 years now and finally starting to see it come together.

Still need to drill holes for brake lines and fuel lines and cooler piping but I have some progress which I’m stoked about.

Everything fitted perfect apart from the brake caliper. It hit the shocks and can’t move the lower trailing arm in anymore cos the shock will hit the chassis.
Rear wheels are 15×10 with 4”BS

So some time has passed busy with work and Xmas hols too but this year it’s back to the car
    A few things have happened.
The body is fully done and in High-Low all the doors, boot rear wing and front guards are all hanging up ready to trial fit and block back.
Fitter the rear end over Xmas a made a mistake with the tape measure so doing coil over rear now.
Got my self some new boots for it and some other parts too. So now to fill some holes in the engine bad and trial fit motor to sort out piping for turbo and hide the engine harness. Pics attached.

The orange one I’ve had for about 10 years. Did it when I was like 21 or 22. Wish I kept it all original but was young and dumb. Was a Burgundy over silver Calais. It’s got 210kw at the wheels. Build a 333stroked for it but did a rear main seal loading it up on the trailer before PCM last year.
