• Sorry guys. A couple of weeks away and then a fair bit of catching up to do. Dimensions on the original binnacle are 150mm high by 388mm wide.

The talk of the 3D printer has made me consider getting a plate of plastic, having it cut to shape and then the relevant holes cut in. It’d be a pretty simple shape really. Should be able to use the…[Read more]

  • Too easy lads.

I can certainly provide measurements to see if the printer can handle it.

    Cheers.

  • Yeah right. I’m hoping to not cut up my original cluster so might have to pick up a second one.

I was was hoping to just knock up a panel and use it to fill the void- hence the worry about the materiel strength.

  • Yeah nice- that is similar to what I’m after. I have two gauges under the radio and will be putting another two or three on the bonnet. I want to keep it as speedo, tacho, shift light- possibly a gear indicator buying not entirely sure yet. Do you know what that one is made of?

  • Guys- looking at replacing my factory cluster with a simple Autometer speedo, tacho and shift light. Something like the attached.

For anyone who has done it before, what is the best material that will hold up to the weight? At the moment I’m tossing up a aluminium sheet of a few mil or MDF. Either will most likely be wrapped in coloured…[Read more]
