Thought id update, alot  has changed on this car.

I was at a point where I either go a big nitrous system or go turbo.

I decided to go turbo and have no regrets.

Basicly the combo remained the same ,235/251 cam, its got

killaboost manifolds (proper ones) t6 flange.

BorgWarner s475 turbo, bosch 2200 injectors, e85,t400 rebuilt new

stronger drum and input shaft -now good for over 1000hp.

TCE 9.5 converter all the gear+mechanical diode.

    3.46 gears.

Ran a 10.7 then 10.6 really backing off.

    3rd run did a 9.5 @143 mph and 1.4 60ft!

    Making some big power now.

    With the 150 shot 10.3   132mph  and 1.5  60ft.

    Without nitrous 11.3 121mph.

I tried 175 and 200 shot but its blowing through the converter and its not going

    any quicker.

Going to change it shortly but not sure who to use.

Most aussie companys don’t seem interested once I tell them what I’m running already

    its really odd.

10.3  is 150hp shot of  giggle gas. Love to run a 10 n/a but I don’t think it will

    happen without some serious mods.

Weight is 1760kg with driver and bit over half a tank of fuel.

Still has a working ac,leather front seats and driven to and from the track.

Setup/info is on the 1st page.

The only change lately is ASE billet fuel rails and -6 feed line to the fuel solenoid.

Also it made 323rwkw N/A at 7000 rpm  2 weeks ago on the workshop dyno.

    N/a best has been 11.3 121 mph.

    Will do mate.

It ran a 10.4 131mph so some fine tuning and getting the converter sorted

should see it go a bit quicker.

I hear that a lot. I’m having issues atm my reworked converter is stalling too low about 3500

so going to have that fixed.

Was meant to be 4500 but no where near it.

Suspension is fe2 all round, 90/10s up front koni yellows rear

    275/50/15 drag radials.

I had a lot of issues try too hook up especially on nitrous the

shocks and 275s helped a lot.

I’m sure it will go 7200+ but don’t know if I want to push it that hard.

Iv’e hit 7000 rpm really easy a few times.

The new tce converter locks up better and rpm is lower going through the traps.

With the 219/235 it did 6700 crossing the line. mph is better.

The old slippery converter and 231/247 cam it did 7000 n/a and  7200 on nitrous.

Might up the limit to 7200 and shift at 7000rpm see what it likes.

Looking forward to giving it a run.

A customer cancelled  a tune on the weekend so took the opportunity

to put my car on the dyno just to fine tune the wot.

Ended up with 293 rwkw at 6700. (mainline 4wd dyno)

It prob had a lil more in it  as the cam rpm range is to 7200 but didn’t feel the need

    to push it.

Not bad considering it has a 4500 stall and turbo 400.

Car feels very strong and sounds it.

Dyno video is on the commodore plus facebook page.

I  dialled it in on 109 centreline needed -2 deg same as the 231/247 I had.

The cv’s seem to be ok but living on borrowed time with nitrous and

    I always carry a spare.

Got 3 fuel jets to try too.

Very keen to see how it goes with the fuel dialled in.

Hopefully ill report back soon with a few time slips.

Tuning is almost done, prob do a lil fine tuning at the track though.

Its the same with any otr remove the filter and gain 1-2 tenths.

Even my old vs gained 1 tenth by removing the panel filter.

Nothing wrong with the design but when chasing every tenth

most people pull the filter as its a restriction and tend to trap heat in.

I think at the strip the dus otr work very well without a filter.

On the street you wont even notice the difference, I haven’t.
