January 19, 2018 at 1:58 pm #25723thats good i was worried that it was going to stick through the bonnet way to much, im going reverse cowl and the only way i can make it look good is with like a inch and a half cowl more than that just looks stupid
January 19, 2018 at 2:10 pm #25724This is the only reverse cowl I love found that looks good

But I think the ctsv kids are ugly. I used to have a cowl, the more and more I seen them the more I hated them.
Sunday car goes to my mate to start the wiring. Found out the Painter is in hospital. So we will make a start with all wiring from engine bay back.
January 19, 2018 at 10:50 pm #25727if i could i would use the k frame spaces but ive been told by a few not too use as it messes with the geometry too much , i like the cowls on old school but not really new cars but its the only way to cover it. i dont like any other bulge for these lucky my best mates a very talented panel beater so he will make it look tough
January 20, 2018 at 7:34 am #25729Picked up my Mighty Mouse Catch can last night. Got it for a bargain so I’m rather pleased.
It’s got a few tricks up its sleeve. Has the usual internal baffling etc, PCV setup and a one way directional filter.

Posts: 5 777Whats the plan with the catch can Cav, you going to run it without the vented top for engineering, then change it over for “track” duties?
January 20, 2018 at 1:36 pm #25732Just going to hide it for now. I will always run this can on street. It doesn’t vent to atmosphere unless the pcv can’t keep up.
Ill just make it look like it’s connected properly when. I go engineer

I didn’t think you were allowed to do that, you cant vent anything to atmosphere no matter what. At least that’s my understanding 9could be wrong). You can get around it by removing the vented cap and using a solid cap when you go through engineering. That’s what the guy with the white Brock VC look alike did I am pretty sure.
January 22, 2018 at 8:11 pm #25741Yeah i will just cap it. Or hide it.. The filter on this only vents if there is too much pressure and the pcv can’t keep it. It has a one way valve built in.
Bit like an air admittance valve.

February 27, 2018 at 3:54 pm #26051Finally got onto the computer so now i can post properly.
Wiring is progressing, if you haven’t figured Tony Vsclubby355 is doing it. His just finished making sure everything works, as who ever stripped the car, wasn’t the nicest. his found a few minor faults but now everything is sorted. His made some patch looms to make everything easier to plug and play as well as make a patch loom for the speed alert as mine doesn’t have it from factory.
His also getting fancy with how his mounting the fuses etc, by laser cutting some brackets etc
Ive just picked up all the 0 gauge wiring, battery terminals and lugs. So i can give them to him and he can now make a start on the Power/Negative side of things.
Doing it once, doing it properly. It helps his anal.Plus i get to cruise around in his car while mine takes up his garage space. Did someone say skids???
June 11, 2018 at 1:10 pm #26570June 11, 2018 at 1:13 pm #26571It’s been a mammoth task. Tony has been killing it. 👌
