All good, trust a genius to have a method to their madness.
Nice touch with the engine grey interior, saw the blinky engine colour and reminded me of the holden 138, grey is quite favoured these days for the wyxz generations.
Herron white ? careful you don’t want the neighbors to think you have matching his and hers cars.

Before I was blind now I can see .
Lucky before I didn’t ask the silly question during the build which is what I was thinking, why isn’t he painting the interior epoxy slightly surface rust before putting all the wiring and fixtures in even if its a race car ??
Now it makes sense what your planning procedure build steps are. Good to see,…[Read more]

The tiles look good and priced reasonable for a pop up showroom man cave section, ceramic tiles would be the best for long term wear and tear depending on decisions with budget.
Why not do both concepts , the tiles for the cleaner display man cave area and the hard wearing epoxy coating for the mechanical working bay areas.
I wouldn’t…[Read more]

I would have to agree with Senator Gary
AA work of art isn’t created overnight, Rome wasn’t built in a day, twas built brick by brick and you have a hell of a brick creation @IJ,
gives the rest of us much inspiration for our own things we try and achieve.
Like art, if/when your feeling flat, occasionally take some time of and just admire…[Read more]

yep ok since the kframe engine mounts of the VC/VH and VR/VS V8 are in the same position and distance back to steering rack holes… get Heron who has the vs kframe and LS3 with standard VY LS sump…. to measure for you from the steering holes to the engine mounting plates holes on the ENGINE, and when you measure yours, it will show the…[Read more]

yeah a lot of lazy people don’t do the etch primer/sealer and then 2pac primer bit to save time and money, thinking you wont see it for a while and not go back to complain.

I meant the front open section with no roof, putting a clear plastic carport roof addition later, anyways house is something to look forward to in this crazy times, helps with the sanity apart from the vh/ls of course.

hey frazer, I could be wrong but just a idea/thought that might help for you to get measurement in a different way.
I measured my 2 original kframes, a vc 6cyl and a vr/vs v8 and the measurement from the centre of power steering rack hole to the centre on top of original welded engine mounts is 190mm, both kframes are the same measurements.
You…[Read more]

Nice work on the plan, looks like your sorting out the possible drainage issues, well done, I like the drive thru between house and workshop, possibly putting a clear roof on it later will give extra dry car space.

Good progress and work IJ, self isolation would not stop it
Just curious with the wing, without wind tunnel testing, how do you know it works with size, heights, angles. Is it just putting any wing will help traction than without 1.

very nice work and we understand the amount of work to make it so, more pleasure gained than easy buying of the shelf, shame most won’t see or realize that work underneath

Sure creates huge power with massive turbo for a 4litre but standard form just a big slow lacklustre petrol guzzler like a drunken sailor. That’s why not many sold. I luv barra’s but the real deal that you eat that don’t sound like, well you know.
