    UPDATE

Heater tap hose burst so ordered a gates heater tap kit for $65 off an ebay seller (Repco quoted me 110 for the exact same kit), should be here tomorrow and will install asap, I’ve had Gates brand Water pump sitting in my back seat for about a month so planning on doing that the same time as i do the heater tap.

Any tips on replacing the water pump?

shitty $30 VZ sway bar links are shit and already need replacing, could anyone recommend a brand

    Car needs wheel alignment

Rear segment of exhaust is hanging lower than usual, I think its come off one of the hangers from smacking it against the ground

I’ve always liked how Y/Z hsv side skirts sit low and have always toyed with the idea of getting them as they make the side look a lot lower/ fatter, got them photoshopped on as well as some more low, thoughts ?

Did something, engine oil & filter change and trans fluid and filter change, first time servicing a trans, never realised how easy it was, got trans fluid in my hair, was fun

Yeh that’s true, 9.5″ wide is perfect for the front of a VY/Z, the work Meisters  replicas come in a 11″ +25 offset rear with 4 inch of dish but that seems very out of reach. 9.5+20 front and rear with 3 inch of dish is plenty

I don’t think genuine work Meisters are in my budget aha full time uni student makes things a bit harder, the wheels are replicas made by varrstoen, achieve the same look for half the price :)

    Thanks guys,

285 on a 9.5 is a bit much, some 265/275 30 or 255/35s would of been cool if had the power to need that amount of grip,

225/35 is a bit of stretch on the 9.5 front and im still getting used to it, I might buy 235s for the front because the rides a lot better with the 235s and its a meatier stretch

Got new centre caps coming because 1 flew off on the road, got purple 50mm wheel nuts coming to break it up, I’m in the process of painting the brakes red, pops against the martini a lot better than the gold and it suits the centre caps, also servicing my engine and transmission( never done a trans service myself ) this Saturday, also waiting on a water pump to come in the mail, new white Parkers and fog light globes, 15mm bolt on spacers for the rear, new window controls as my front left button is playing up and I think that’s about it, oh redoing my front lip and going to make side steps/lip for the side skirts

Really eaten into the bank account lol

Also got a flat tonight so stole my dads spare

Fitted the 19×9.5 Front wheels, ended up going with 225/35 fronts, fair bit of stretch. Keeping offset to my self but front wheels poke out a good 10-15mm with the front cambered in as much as possible.

Fitted front struts with my king spring SSL in them and also replaced the coolant hose behind the supercharger, it was a b*tch of a job to do with the lack of visibility and room.
Purchasing 19×9.5 front Bbs LM reps on Tuesday so I’ll be 9.5 all around,
The 19×8.5 fronts will be for sale if any one wants them :)
Also need to change the water pump, read into it, not sure if it’s easy enough for me to do myself

Coolant hose behind the supercharger cracked and is leaking so will be replacing that tomorrow, it is an absolute pain to do from what I’ve heard as you have no room to work with. Also been getting a rattle on cold start up from the front of the engine, suspected water pump, took the belt off and found that there’s play coming from the water pump so will be changing that once it comes in the mail.

    Cars aye ?!

Thanks everyone, really appreciate the feedback.

Purchased VZ Monroe GT shortened struts that came with Super Pro strut tops and Lovells SSLs, I’ll swap my King Spring SSL’s into them as they sit lower. Being VZ front struts I had to purchase VZ sway bar links as they are different to VY ones. Will be fitting them on the weekend.
