    Afternoon ladies and gents,

     

    I stumbled across this plethora of information, regarding the memcal and ECU information for VN-VX V6’s and VN-VT Holden-based V8’s. It lists different memcal part numbers used inside different ECU/PCM modules, as well as comments regarding each different tune. It is interesting to note that YES, there was such a thing as the “cop chip” on very specific models!

    There is a much more up to date data on the PCMHack forum.

    You’ll note the police versions use a different ecu/pcm and all have RFI mentioned, basically put extra electrical shielding because of all the extra electrical stuff in police cars.  Ahh, they also increased the idle to suit the heavy duty alternator but that is about it.
