    Hi Gary,

    Not sure if it’s just me. But every button, i.e. the attach image,
    is not working for me on my Mac.

    I also wanted to embed a youtube video. I copied the exact same way KAL SPL did, and it doesn’t work. Tried copy and pasting the embedded link from youtube. Still no difference.

    What I get when I attach a image using the “img” button on the ‘Text’ side
    <img src=”http://s25.postimg.org/xeh89nten/image.jpg” alt=”TEST” />

    Using the “insert/edit image” in the ‘Visual side

    <img id=”__wp-temp-img-id” src=”http://s25.postimg.org/xeh89nten/image.jpg” alt=”TEST” width=”800″ height=”600″ /> TEST

    I ended up posting the youtube url/link and that works.

    But posting the url/link for an image did not.

    Hi Michael,

    This is Georgie, Gary’s daughter and the person who built the website :)

    There shouldn’t be a problem with Macs on the whole, the site was built on my Macbook so not sure why there’s a few glitches for you. What browser are you using? Is it that they are not opening at all? I’ll try giving it a whirl so I can work out why the buttons are giving you strife.

    Using the “insert/edit image” in the ‘Visual side <img id=”__wp-temp-img-id” src=”http://s25.postimg.org/xeh89nten/image.jpg” alt=”TEST” width=”800″ height=”600″ /> TEST

    I was able to get the same error by clicking on the visual tab, inserting the image, and then going back to the text tab and clicking submit. If you just use the visual tab and submit, does this fix the issue?

    Tried copy and pasting the embedded link from youtube. Still no difference. What I get when I attach a image using the “img” button on the ‘Text’ side <img src=”http://s25.postimg.org/xeh89nten/image.jpg” alt=”TEST” />

    Embedding the link from youtube won’t work because for security purposes all HTML code is disabled and just appears in plaintext. I think this may also be why the img code on the text editor is throwing up that code.

    On the whole my advice would be to try forgetting the text editor is even there and just using the visual editor and see if that helps! In the meantime I will look into the button issue for you.

    Hi Georgie,

    Thanks for all the hard work you have put in. Good to hear it was done on a Mac as well.

    I am using Safari.

    I first typed up all my info in MS Word, then copied and pasted. It came up as a fair big mess. I just deleted all the code which fixed it.

    Then I moved onto the images and videos.

    Hi Michael, This is Georgie, Gary’s daughter and the person who built the website <img class=”wp-smiley” src=”http://www.commodoresplus.com.au/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif” alt=”:)” /> There shouldn’t be a problem with Macs on the whole, the site was built on my Macbook so not sure why there’s a few glitches for you. I tried both ways, without switching to the other in between. So just Visual > button > submit or Text > button >submit

    I don’t know enough about HTML code. When I try the images, I just copy and paste the links into the required fields.

    Something else I just picked up is quoting the emoticons.

    <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”><img class=”wp-smiley” src=”http://www.commodoresplus.com.au/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif” alt=”:)” /></span><span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>

    </span>

    This is what comes up.

    Sorry to be a pain, but this is also coming up after I submit or edit a post.

    <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”></span><span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>

    </span>

    Thanks Gary.

    So i’ve discovered that using the [.img] tags only works on the Text side of the comment box.

    As Gary said, not a pain at all, it is good to know these things!

    I have fixed the smiley issue for future posts.

    As for the other problems, I’m having a bit of trouble diagnosing as it all seems to be working fine on Safari for me. At the moment because there’s so much traffic to the site (awesome!) I’m hesitant to run any tests, going to wait until much later tonight and then see if that gives me any help.

    Sorry about the wait but I’ll keep working on it. Cheers!

    All good. I understand these things take time and you’ve done a very good job so far.

    I’ll check for a software update and restart my computer tomorrow. Just to rule that out.

    Will give it a go on my phone to see how that goes as well.

    Thanks.

    Hi Michael,

    How’s it working for you now? I have changed a few things which have solved the issue for me so interested to see how you go.
