    Hi guys,

anyone done the whole powerglide and kept the factory speedo?

specifically wanting my Vn level 3 cluster to work, just looking at how to get it all working together.

    any help appreciated

In the process of doing mine, we got a reluctor wheel bored out as a light press fit on the front of the tailshaft, going to make a small bracket to mount the factory pickup reading that.

Modified the standard sender on the trimatic to accept my t5 transducer.

Thought the the speed sensor bolts directly into a glide.

^wont work on some output shafts though Cav.  Its not about that its wher the reluctor ring can fit.  On the output shaft you need the land where the reluctor ring fits to be a larger diameter than the splines so the ring can fit over it then be pressed onto the land.  Mine the middle of the shaft is machined smooth and is a smaller diameter that the splined ends, so you cant fit the reluctor ring to it.  So we did consider coming up with a  two piece split reluctor ring, but there isn’t much meat to work with for the screws to hold it together.  My way its pretty easy.

The plugs into the factory gear drive in the box.

Yea but if you use an aftermarket output shaft, (like my Sonnax), it doesnt have a spot for the drive gear to fit.  So you can mount the sender but it has nothing to read off.  That’s if we are talking about the same thing btw.
