[304] Ignition Lead Shields?

What are the ignition leads shields for on the 304? Are they just for heat protection?

I got some new leads which didn’t come with the shields, and I noticed that I am missing three shields anyway.

Iv never used them

I carnt figger out what there for

If it’s shielding it from spark then the leads are shit so change them as they shouldn’t throw spark out anywhere

Carnt be a heat shield as they will just absorb heat from the extractors and hold it there

Think he is talking about the socket thing that covers the end of lead that plugs onto sparkplug

Will get a photo… Yes when you pull the ignition lead off the spark plug there are these metal cylinders with a spring on the end. Don’t get what they are meant to do – something that carries a ton of spark doesn’t really need some conducting metal around it to potentially give you a buzz.

Ahh yeah. I’ve got them on my LS and 304. The 304 ones are removable.

Just a little heat shield. I don’t think it will kill u if u do or don’t have them.
