  • i Have a mate looking for a M80 Diff from a VX, VY or VZ,

    not fussed on ratio or if its open wheeler. as he already purchased a LSD which had a damaged thread in one of the mounting holes, so at worst he will use the internals from that

    as cheap as possible

    Pickup in Adelaide, northern suburbs if possible

    what type of spark plugs should I run? Some listings say Platinum, some say Irridium, both have different gaps too?

     

  • what Igntion leads are people running, not sure what are currently on the engine as there is no brand on them, im not even sure how old they are

    Im looking at 3 options at the moment

    1. NGK part no# RC-HLK808S (8mm) -$84 per set

    2. MSD part no#5572 (8.0mm) Street Fire Wire -$76 per set

    3. MSD part no#32819 (8.5mm) Super Conductor Spiral -$110 per set

  • Ive tried both Peter Page and Steinborner, Peter Page were $480 and Steinborner were $430.00, apparently there is a shortage since Air International have gone, ive also rung a handful of wholesalers too all of which are out of stock

  • Well spoke to the exhaust shop today who had done my VS’s exhaust system

    I ended up ordering a Xforce 2.5″ system with the normal size rear muffler which has two pipes into the rear muffler and 2 pipes out, it is also is brushed stainless steel, as there mild steel systems are discontinued.

    pretty sure i’d go something like the 2.5″ system, still not sure whether to go there oval rear muffler or the hotdog rear mufflers

    pacemaker also do cats that are direct bolt on to the pacemaker extractors that i bought, so worst comes to worst i could always buy them and a few bends…[Read more]

    yeah i know, its only one of a few reasons, im trying to do as much of the LS1 build/swap myself, including engine assembly this time, i didnt build the VS’s 355 myself i dropped it off at the engine builder. I only built the car itself.

  • a mate of mine has taken me for a spin is 2 of his cars, both are 6lt VZ’s, first one is a Manual Cammed VZ SS, other is a stock auto VZ Senator, the SS has a full 2.5″ Pacemaker system on it, and Senator has a 3″ X force system but stock headers by memory.

    the only thing is senator’s 3″ xforce system clearance is very tight in some section…[Read more]
