    Chippy by trade
Currently jumping through hoops to get builders licence
Did cabinet making for 4 years after school doin kitchens and shop fit outs, though stuff that and went worked for few builders doin every thing, architectural designed houses, few industrial sheds, aeroplane hangers, couple restaurants and ended up with my trade

Then went into the mining construction, did some entry ways to under ground mines and did maintance at various sites and did 3 years at HPX3 project, did the foundations, built a 2km trestle, and did the drainage

Now back to maintance/small jobs at mines deciding what to do in life

Third year apprentice diesel mechanic. thought i was going to be a fitter and turner in school but this is more fun. Motivation to do my own stuff in the shed does run thin some days. Weeks, rather.

I’m in IT, doing development and support work for the system that sits behind 40% of ATMs and 25% of EFTPOS devices in NZ. It’s a specialised job, which means I’m in a constant state of mutually-assured destruction with my employer. I’ve been doing it for over 20 years now, so once it’s finally outsourced to a room full of 12yo kids in India I plan on moving into cropping for a change of pace.

It’s a job I kind of fell into while deciding what I wanted to study at uni, as a kid I had great plans of being either World Rally Champion, a muppeteer, or a manwhore to supermodels.

You know all those self serve touch screen terminals you all use at Coles/Woolies, thats right the ones that tell you to put your items in the bagging area 20 times before cracking the shits and giving up…….yeah, I build, install and maintain very similar systems in the hospitality industry, and yes, they piss even us off sometimes too.

I wanted in school to work with machines/hands on work. I would love to move over to a trade/hands on work if I ever got the opportunity. (I used to be a telco/data cabler).

Something a little different, I’m a high school HPE teacher.

My dream from school was to be a professional wakeboarder which I’m still chasing! (Building cars doesn’t help this haha)
