Interesting morning, decided to remove fuel tank to fix fuel float/sender. Found out that my in tank return line was broken off the swirl pot. Not a simple fix when you have a ute tank as you cannot get to the attachment to get the line back on. I decided to run the return line into the centre of the swirl pot itself so it sits just next to the  fuel pump pick up filter.

Got it all back together and the fuel sender is working again but will have to wait until the level gets down to near a 1/4 to see what happens.

Took a few shots while i was out for a short drive.

And a picture of the vacuum/boost gauge in drivers door.

IMO. It looks perfect as is. To low and walls will make it look tacky.

Never reaslised this had a blower on a detailed bay. Looks awsome

Cheers thanks, your probably right. I’ve still got a bit more adjustment in the rear springs might take it down and see.

Yea agree, I wouldn’t go any lower, looks perfect. Like how you have blacked out the blower to make it stealthy/understated. Really like the way you have mounted that boost gauge to. Great ute :good:

Thanks Gary still needs a few tweaks here and there but mostly done for now.

Looking to get a speedo corrector kit to fix the issues with new ems and 20″ wheels so that will be the next thing on my list.

Ok so thought i would play around with photo shop to see what it would look like with walls on it. I don’t mind the look but still on the fence about the white wall thing.

Cheers mate. Its all coming together now. Putting it in summernats for a bit of fun.

It has been white walled now and i’m happy with it, understand its not everyone’s choice but don’t plan on having the tyres on it long lol.

Busy day today, up early to drop the ute off for the diff rebuild. Got a call not long after telling me the LSD is cactus and the options where LSD $400 Eaton True Trac $600 or a Detroit for $900. Decided on the Eaton which i think will be best in the long run. Also found out the handbrake shoe’s had had it as well.

Not a cheap day but $2000 seems fair for the Eaton and 3.7 gears bearings etc.

Now i just need to run it in this week. It already has some more get up and go, once i get it retuned I’m sure it will be fun!

After reading through Gary’s post I decided to run the same set up in my ute with the Dakota digital gear display and B&M pro ratchet.

I went off to JayCar and got all the lights and Molex joiner.

Played around with different ideas but settled on the below.

Also just spotted your post re the diff gears, the Eaton does seem to be the go.

Looking good. You sure it’s an eaton true track???  They don’t make one for the m78. Only Harrop does at $1200

Yeah he showed me what it was.

It was one they had for another customer that had been wanting to put it in his vs. I can only go off what they said, im no expert in diffs.

hmm fair enough. Unless it’s changed recently eaton never made a true track for the m78 diff. Harrop would take an eaton unit and modify it. It may still wear the eaton tag but it certainly doesn’t wear the eaton price.

Either way you will be wrapt. I had one in both my cars and couldn’t fault them.

Yeah im not to worried these guys have been around 20 years in canberra and they have a good name.

Either way as you said it will be a good change from the 3.08 gearing and shitty lsd.

Had a small win today, my new Dakota Digital gear display turned up.

All im waiting for is the  B&M shifter to turn up and its full steam ahead. Im trying to get this all installed before Summernats next week.
