Gone solid cam, but also the stock ones won’t handle 750 thou of lift at 7,000+ rpm.

    Ok

^ yeah what Immortality said, I mean its sort of gone way past a simple daily streetability kind of thing.  What I have found is the fun is all about short blasts, and shits and giggles (almost literally).  Tbh I don’t like driving it “daily” amongst traffic,  I am shit scared some tool in a Galant is going to tail end me.  So the focus is on trying to screw the most reliable and semi-useable power and torque out of it NA with the ITBs.   Sort of been focussing on some real health issues with my old man of late, so tbh my minds hasn’t really been on cars, my hearts not been in it.  Just sort of waiting to see where we are at with it, I think its close now.

New Cam would have to start making power around there wouldn’t it?

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I’d be changing to a 4500+ to make the most of the combo.</p>

Not doing anything to it until its been on the engine dyno and we have the curves.  Then I will go see Grant and see what he thinks.

Yea that’s righ Cav, and I have to be honest I no next to nothing about converters, so much rather talk to Grant once he knows exactly how it makes its power/torque :)

Well going through some heavy duty health stuff with Dad lately so cars have been very low on the priority list.  But Brenton is just finishing off the exhaust ports and combustion chambers.  Rockers have been selected and ordered, so edging closer…

Bit thin on the end of the plug hole…

I’m sure he’ll know to blend it so it doesn’t glow plug on that sharp edge.

Sorry to hear about your Dad..

Yea it’s a progress pic, he is a bit cagey about what I show.  Thanks, Dad’s issue isn’t fun, but that’s life I guess.

Yea I am hoping so, it was seriously mental before with the throttle response, and low down torque, but with an extra 150 odd hp (hopefully) it should be insane.  Should sound epic too :)

Yea that’s true, but the other 10% of the time when I am using it will make it all worthwhile :good:

and it’s just nice to have an extra 600hp just in case you need to turn the tyres faster than they need to be turning B-)
