I bought a 2 owner vh sl/x I’m December and slowly doing bits to her. So far lowered, aeros and in the process of the injected conversion. Just waiting on final parts and I’ll be set to go.

    as it looks now.

Once engineered I’ll get a high rise manifold, decent cam and stall in her and get the reverse cowl bonnet in the shed fitted up.

Only have these interior pics at the moment. It’s in really good condition just the dash surround has a crack as they all do and the vinyl lifting from the centre console.

it appears as if it’s been well looked after during it’s life
Nice find. The EFI 5L conversion really transforms these cars

Made up the exhaust past couple of days,

also made up a 2 in to 1 tail pipe for engineering purposes.

Made a start on the battery in the boot, ran the positive lead, made a isolator switch bracket, made a negative terminal post on the body and mounted the battery. Just waiting on the correct conversion looms to come and should be close to firing up.

People with relocated batteries, where have you ran your positive lead through the firewall to the starter?

Have you got a pic at all? Mine has the  heat/sound deadening in the bay so might not be visible.

I know the VH is different to my VR, but I went across the boot through a steel tube, then through a hole with a grommet behind the back seat, then along under the sill trim, then I had no room to go through the tunnel, so I actually went around the inside of the front guard inside a steel tube to the starter, worked out pretty neat and tidy.

That’s pretty much how mine goes only it comes out through the main wiring grommet on the firewall

Hi mate , nice clean vh you got there! Keen to see how your build goes as I am hopefully undertaking a similar project to yours very shortly. One question I have is what are you going to do re: tail shaft?

Thanks and best of luck with it !!

Hi, Nice neat tidy set up. What are the boot lid gas struts off. Are they standard on the SL/X or modified from later model or what? I have a VK which is due for paint soon and will include boot spoiler and am thinking with the spoiler on the boot the springs may not hold the boot up.

I used a vl rear section of the tail shaft and vn front section and bolted together at the c/v behind the centre bearing.

Dave, that’s pictures of Gary’s boot in his vr.

Took the vh out to SNL at eastlink bp last night.
