What work did you do at Holden?

pretty much most things.. admin/office/finance wise

I worked in the foundry/fettling areas working out how much good stuff they made daily
I was the inventory controller in the Supply department, I ran the VAP vehicle costing department
(which worked out what/where and the cost of what was spat out to traffic from each VAP daily)

.. thru to ‘New Models’ where I worked with the engineers at Lang Lang and FB on breakpoints for new parts introduction as well as new models as well as stuff like involvement and support with the introduction of Brocks HDT Commodores

    As I said, lots of things…  B-)

Agreed Gary, but damn the new VF2 SSV Redline is a hell of a way to end it. On my bucket list for sure :)

My dad works at the plant (still does) and it’s a damn shame to see it all just disappear. He has been there for over 25 years, I remember him bringing home a brand new VR SS, VS SS and VS Calais to drive around for a night. Probably what started my love for that particular model I guess. He would always tell me about the new models and changes they are doing to updates.  But all good things must come to an end. I will be getting one that’s for sure, it will be my first and last new car. Also one I will hang on to for as long as I can.

HSV think a car ONLY available with an auto is the highlight of their performance range

the starting price is a $2500 premium coz of that stance   :negative:
